Italian Ceramics: The Perfect Handmade Gift

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)

The best gifts are handmade with love....but who says it has to be your hands that make them?

The reason we treasure handmade gifts is because they are unique.  If you don't happen to be blessed with artistic talent, there is still a way to give a unique, handmade gift this holiday season - Italian ceramics from Villaggio!

Each piece of our Italian ceramics and majolica is handmade by Italian artisans in their own studios, so no two pieces are alike.  We can even have your gift customized, sometimes at no extra charge to you - just ask!

We've recently received a large shipment of beautiful Italian ceramic pieces for the holidays; you can check all of them out by visiting our New Arrivals section on the website.

Does someone on your gift list love outdoor living?  We've got a beautiful variety of Antica Deruta tables that will transform their patio or backyard into an Italian countryside:

We also have new platters and pasta bowls that make a bold statement on any table:

Italian Ceramic Tile Decorating

We love to decorate for the holidays because it brings the real warmth of the season into our homes.  Bringing the warmth of the Italian countryside into your home year 'round is easy when you decorate with genuine Italian ceramic tiles.

These are some of our current best sellers:

In most cases, these Italian tiles are hand-made by our artists - these stunning tiles from Francesca Niccacci are inspired by the Renaissance period and add bold splashes of color to any room:

Francesca studied 16th and 17th Century art with Romano Ranieri, a famous Deruta master, before beginning her own studio. She has combined this study with her love and passion for the works of the many artisans who came before her to create treasures of unparalleled beauty.  In keeping with the processes established by Renaissance artists, Francesca uses the five independent colors to mix and create the precise shades required to bring out the history, breath and life of her artwork.

One of our favorite uses of Italian tile is in decorating a nursery - so unique!  You can create a one-of-a-kind wall design by hanging symmetrical rows of tiles, or create a border around the entire nursery with these beautiful, colorful statements of fine Italian artistry.

Whatever use you find for them, Italian ceramic tiles will enhance the beauty and warmth of your home!
